We travel to Walt Disney World a lot for “research” on StepstoMagic.com, so this is less general and more specific to OUR best restaurants.
With Jill being vegetarian, the goal is to provide her with dining experiences that are unique and exciting while also giving me options. That being said, there are a ton of spots that we’ll check out on every trip without hesitation!
The Magic Kingdom
Columbia Harbour House
This hidden gem in Liberty Square gives you the chance to get a great quick service meal while also getting an almost private dining room on the second floor. Complete with our own washroom, condiment stand and air conditioning, you’ll want to return as often as you can to regroup before hitting the Magic Kingdom for more fun!
Gaston’s Tavern
The LeFou’s Brew is one of Jill’s favorite drinks at Disney, so a stop in at Gaston’s is just what the doctor ordered.
Cinderella’s Royal Table
We’ve only been once, but it was such a great time that I still have the souvenir sword in my office. Usually discussed as an experience for younger families, especially princesses, CRT is completely acceptable for a date night!
When we showed up, the expectation and reality were matched only by the feeling of being treated like royalty. Our server was awesome, the food was great and the ambiance was something that Disney fans will love.
EPCOT
We haven’t tried all the restaurants in EPCOT, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have our favs.
Les Halles in France
The bakery is worth the admission to EPCOT alone. We talk about the Brie and Apple sandwich often in our real day-to-day life, so be prepared to have a classic style lunch with a fun dessert.
Sunshine Seasons
We’ve made the mistake of thinking that we could make it to lunch without eating something for breakfast…and it always fails.
Know ahead of time that the air conditioning and feeling within the Land pavilion is everything you’ll want. Oh, and the breakfast pastries will give you the jump in order to go and ride Test Track over and over again!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
ABC Commissary
On StepstoMagic.com, I usually list ABC Commissary as one of the quick service restaurants to avoid…but here’s the secret:
We tend to eat here at least once a vacation.
It’s less about the food and more about the fact that we need a place that’s outside of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge to refuel. Things can be overwhelming, so knowing that you can just grab a table and relax with unlimited drink refills is exactly what’s needed sometimes.
Sci-Fi Dine In
If you want a good burger and a milkshake, this is your spot! The only downside is that they don’t usually have tables for two, so you’re stuck in a car with another party…but that’s not to bad. The experience of dining in a drive in with classic movie trailers and dimly lighted area is 100% worth checking out.
The Milk Stand in Galaxy’s Edge
Blue Milk and Green Milk. Both are acceptable, but one is usually preferred over the other. Enjoy the adventure to see which one you like! Jill likes Green and I like Blue…great chemistry!
